MUEC Mentors are successful, real-world business people who volunteer to help teams strengthen their business plans.
Mentors can help teams in a number of ways; for example, by:
• Answering your questions and providing focus
• Finding holes in your business plan
• Brainstorming on possible partnerships
• Opening their diaries and providing relevant contacts
• Lending advice on protecting intellectual property
• Evaluating a team's presentation before the judging rounds
As team members, you will benefit from the opportunity to tap into the knowledge and expertise of dedicated and experienced entrepreneurs and professionals, applied to your business project.
Communication can be done in person, via email or by phone – that is determined by you and your mentor, according to your team’s needs and the timeline of the competition.
Through the Mentor Mixer event to be held in November, all teams that make it to the Semi-Finals will be matched to a mentor that shares a common business background and has the skills, contacts and insight to help develop their business plans.
