Abstract
|
This workshop will offer some insights into the process of idea refinement as it applies to the evolution of a business concept from both the entrepreneur’s perspective and from that of venture capital investor. Discussion will cover some of the common cultural barriers to entrepreneurial success that manifest themselves in the Australian business environment and suggestions on how to avoid or overcome these barriers. Marketplace realism will be considered in terms of the target market for an evolving business idea and, also interpreted in the context of seeking venture investment.
The workshop will be an interactive activity during which the audience is encouraged to use the opportunity to test aspects of their own business concepts.
